Meet Gina: Your Trusted Guide
Gina holds an AS degree in Liberal Arts, a BS in Human Services with a major in Mental Health, and an MS.Ed in Counseling. Her journey through education ignited her passion for helping others and has therefore chosen to become a counselor. The purpose in mentioning Gina’s degrees is not to boast but to share a cautionary tale.
Having worked in a system interconnected with various others, Gina has observed that these supposedly "helpful" systems often perpetuate dependency rather than fostering genuine assistance. They create lifelong clients and patients, which contradicts Gina’s mission of truly helping people.
One noteworthy example is the restriction on discussing matters of faith, where mentioning God is discouraged unless it aligns with an individual's belief system. While this might not seem unusual to non-believers, Gina has a strong perspective on this issue.
Gina therefore left the system due to these reasons and more. Gina firmly believes in the healing power of God, which surpasses any medication. She has found success in her work by incorporating faith into holistic practice, a dimension often overlooked by other practitioners. The wisdom is readily available, but many fail to tap into its potential.
Throughout Gina’s career, she has assisted numerous clients, spanning adults, teens, children, couples, and families. During her time in the system, she adhered to their rules, but her professional experience led her to conclude that their approach falls short. This is evident in the individuals relying on medications and therapy indefinitely.
